Though the process of making each piece is unique, much of the care practices are similar to traditional fine jewelry.
Take care not to pull excessively on chains or clasps. Always fasten clasps before storing to prevent knots.
Avoid wearing against fabrics that may catch or snag or tugging/pulling on individual rings/components.
Remove jewelry when you shower, bathe or swim and any activities where excessive contact with the jewelry is likely to occur. Some chainwork bracelets are more delicate – take care when reaching into pockets, bags and sleeves of clothing.
All jewelry is best cleaned with warm water and a mild dish-washing soap (such as regular Dawn). In addition, a soft-bristled cleaning/toothbrush may be used. Take care when wiping/blotting dry with a lint-free cloth and make sure the jewelry is completely dry before storing.
Over time, even with proper care your jewelry may encounter a need for additional cleaning, polishing or minor repairs. Please contact us at support@corosena.com to discuss your repair needs or cleaning appointment.

Argentium® is a patented silver alloy that contains a more fine silver than traditional sterling (min. 93.5% minimum vs 92.5%), while replacing the copper with germanium. The result is an alloy designed to be as hard as traditional sterling, while improving resistance to tarnish, bright white shine and other fabrication properties.
Argentium® can be darkened during fabrication in the same manner as sterling, however when brought to a high polish, resembles that of platinum. While Argentium is the preferred alloy for many components, sterling is also available and is often used in traditional fabrication methods.
While tarnish resistant, Argentium silver can still tarnish. It is suggested to store your jewelry in boxes meant for fine jewelry. If you do notice any tarnishing - often a dull yellowish at first - a non-chemical polishing cloth may be used in addition to the cleaning instructions in the above section.
Avoid using chemical polishes and treatments. Avoid contact with cleaning chemicals such as bleach and ammonia, as well as skincare products, perfumes and hairspray.

COROSÈNA jewelry is designed to be wearable art. With that in mind, an artist wants to create with finest tools possible to bring a vision to life. While all gemstones used in COROSÈNA jewelry are ethically sourced, lab-grown gems have an abundance of benefits for creative purposes.
They are identical to their natural, mined counterparts. For example: a sapphire grown in a lab is no less a sapphire, but the consistent, purest color and clarity is present in every one, without the inclusions/damage often present in those removed from the ground. This reduces the impact on the environment, without losing the beauty and quality you expect in fine jewelry. This also allows for an added resilience in fabricated components - often enabling processes typically impossible for their natural counterparts to withstand.
Bespoke and custom clients may choose natural or lab stones in their pieces.

The hand-fabrication process involves making many of the components from scratch, and using minimal prefabricated parts such as findings/clasps where needed. This is often a lengthy process that must be factored in when placing an order.
With that, you are getting a truly personalized piece of wearable art. Unlike casting molds, each piece, no matter how similar, will never be 100% alike. This will also include subtle imperfections that occur organically in the creation process.
The variety chain work patterns found in all COROSÈNA jewelry is hand-woven, one ring at a time. The patterns used include those seen in historically ancient chainmail (see also: Chainmaille) armor, along with contemporary ones developed by a vast community of artisans, all adapted here for fine jewelry.
A few of the patterns incorporated and/or modified to be used in COROSÈNA work have been licensed by and credited to as follows:
Phaedra® - Karen Snyder of O. Sebastian Chainmaille Creations
Prima - Lemony Potter
